Aims of happy-hippos

• At happy hippos the children will be presented with a warm, welcoming and supportive home environment.
• Each child will be given much praise and encouragement within all of their wonderful achievements and provided with positive guidance in times of difficulty.
• All children will be treated equally but as individuals and given the same opportunities to gain rich learning experiences aiding their development.
• The children will be provided with a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
• At happy hippos the children will be provided with a wide array of fun activities, which are appropriate to their ages and stages of development.
• All children will be encouraged to express their individual needs and be given the opportunity to make choices, develop their skills and enhance their self-confidence.
• Children will have the opportunity to meet and play with other children and through doing so will acquire good socialisation skills.
• Finally happy hippos aims to give parents and carers the trust and reassurance that their children are being well cared for and that they are happy and having fun!
